In the US it's made with high-fructose corn syrup, whereas in other places (like Africa, I think) it's made with cane sugar, which is considered by many to taste /better/. I certainly preferred Ghanaian coke. Lots of Californians go out of their way to get Mexican Coke, for the same reason.
